Fall '26 Recruitment!

ㅡ INTEREST MEETINGS ㅡ

Dates: August 26th and 27th, 6-7 PM
Location: Ground floor of Murray Hall (next to Kenan Science Library)

This is your opportunity to:

Meet the Vice Master Alchemist as well as other officers
Learn about the Rho Chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma
Be informed about Rush and the requirements
Examine what the pledging process will look like
Ask questions and address concerns regarding rush and pledging commitments

ㅡ RUSH TIMELINE ㅡ

Time: 6-7 PM
Location: Ground floor of Murray Hall (next to Kenan Science Library)

Prospective students must attend at least THREE events to be invited to Formal Rush. Students are then eligible for a bid after attending Formal Rush.

Week 1

Monday 8/31, 6-7 PM

Speed Dating

Join us for a “speed dating” event where Brothers and Rushees spend time getting to know each other in small group settings! Rushees will spend time with different groups of Brothers and rotate every couple of minutes.

This is your opportunity to:

Introduce yourself to the Brothers of the Rho Chapter and fellow Rushees
Let the Brothers learn more about who you are as a person
Spark conversations about shared interests, questions about college, and random topics (is cereal a soup?)
Bond and make friends :)

Tuesday 9/1, 6-7 PM

Slime Night

Come make slime with both Brothers and fellow Rushees! A variety of different dyes and mix-ins with be provided for you to let out your silly and creative side.

This is your opportunity to:

Destress and bring out your creative side
Get to know brothers and rushees
Make a fun stress toy to take home!

Wednesday 9/2, 6-7 PM

Trivia

Team up with Brothers and test your knowledge on a variety of random topics from Phineas & Ferb and geography to Taylor Swift and literature.

This is your opportunity to:

Share your knowledge with the Brothers and Rushees
Work as a team to deduce an answer
Learn some new, random, but fun facts!
Don't worry, you won't need to know the difference between SN1 and SN2 reactions, we promise ;)

Thursday 9/3, 6-7 PM

PowerPoint Night

Create a PowerPoint presentation on any topic of your choice and present it to an audience of Brothers and Rushees! At the conclusion of the event, a vote will be held to determine the best presentation. (There will be a prize!)

This is your opportunity to:

Share something you're passionate about with others
Show off your knowledge and graphic design skills
Let the Brothers get to know you better

Week 2

Tuesday 9/8, 6-7 PM

Bob Ross Paint Night

Our most popular Rush event! Channel your inner artist and creative minds as we follow along with an instructional video by Bob Ross. No art skills are required and no need for personal supplies: all are welcome to join in!

This is your opportunity to:

Make some happy accidents :)
Express yourself and be creative
Just bring good vibes for a fun night!

Wednesday 9/9, 6-7 PM

Formal Rush!

Invite

only!

The concluding event for Rush! Brothers and all qualifying Rushees (those who attended at least 3 Rush events) will spend time together over an icebreaker activity. After the event concludes, Brothers will vote on which Rushees will become Pledges. All are expected to show up in business casual attire.
